You are probably well aware that on July 14, 2015, Microsoft said goodbye to Windows Server 2003. They not only ended support for this product, but also no longer provide security patches or software and content updates.

You may think that you will be okay and be able to hang on to your Windows Server 2003 for a bit longer as it has always served you well. However, without the security patches regularly provided by Microsoft, you could really be putting your computing enterprise at risk. And, without the software and content updates, you may run into compatibility challenges as hardware manufacturers and software vendors will no longer provide connectivity to the Windows Server 2003. Furthermore, without these patches and updates, you may be out of compliance with industry and governmental regulations, putting your organization at greater risk.

Your best, and only real option, is to migrate to a newer version that provides the needed support to eliminate the unnecessary headaches that will most likely come from staying with your Windows Server 2003.

Transitioning to a new server may seem overwhelming, however, leveraging an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model during the move, may be just the answer. You can quickly and easily host your test and development environment in the cloud, providing you with an economically solution during the transition process.

If you are feeling the pressure now that Windows Server 2003 is no longer supported, feel free to contact SIAS to learn how we can help you ease the transition.
